Recovery & Performance
Clinical assessment and practitioner-led guidance for people managing injury, chronic pain,
or physical recovery who want evidence-informed support beyond the standard referral pathway.
Injury and pain are rarely just physical.
Why the clinical picture matters for recovery.
- Acute Injury
Recent injuries often have underlying physiological factors that affect how quickly and fully the body heals. Clinical assessment can identify markers that inform a more targeted approach to recovery support.
- Chronic Pain
Persistent pain that hasn’t resolved with standard treatment often has inflammatory, hormonal, or metabolic components. Pathology can help identify what’s contributing and inform a clinical plan that goes beyond symptom management.
- Supporting Recovery Following Surgery
- General Muscle Recovery
Ongoing joint health, muscle function, and physical resilience are influenced by a range of clinical factors. Understanding your individual markers gives your practitioner a basis for evidence-informed guidance.
- How We Assess
How we assess your musculoskeletal and recovery health
Inflammatory Markers
CRP, ESR, and other inflammatory markers assessed to understand the level of systemic inflammation and its potential role in pain and recovery.
Hormonal Factors
Testosterone, cortisol, and other hormonal markers assessed for their role in tissue repair, muscle function, and physical recovery.
Nutritional Status
Vitamin D, magnesium, iron, and B12 assessed as part of a comprehensive panel relevant to musculoskeletal health and recovery capacity.
Metabolic Markers
Metabolic health directly influences the body's ability to repair and recover. Relevant markers are assessed as part of the overall clinical picture.

Review and Adjustment
I've been seeing a physio but I feel like something else is going on. Is Baseline+ the right next step?
Possibly. Baseline+ is designed to assess the clinical factors that may be affecting your recovery or contributing to persistent pain, things that aren’t always visible in a physical assessment alone. Your practitioner reviews your full intake and pathology to identify whether there are inflammatory, hormonal, or metabolic factors at play. This can complement rather than replace your existing physio care.
I had surgery a few months ago and my recovery feels slower than expected. Can Baseline+ help?
Baseline+ can provide clinical assessment of the factors that influence recovery, including inflammation, nutritional status, and hormonal markers. This is adjunct support alongside your surgical team’s care, not a replacement for it. If your recovery concerns are acute, speak with your surgeon or GP in the first instance.
I have chronic pain that my GP says isn't showing up on scans. Can you still assess me?
Yes. Chronic pain that doesn’t show up on imaging often has inflammatory, hormonal, or metabolic components that standard scans don’t capture. Baseline+ looks at the clinical markers relevant to your situation. Whether we find something clinically significant depends on your individual results, but the assessment is more comprehensive than a standard panel.
Is pathology included in the program cost?
Yes. Pathology is included in your program cost. Your practitioner reviews your intake and authorises your blood tests through accredited Australian providers. No extra cost, no chasing referrals.
Is medication part of the injury and muscle recovery?
Medication is only prescribed where clinically appropriate, based on your individual pathology and assessment. The decision is made entirely by your practitioner during your consultation.
